This was fantastic for me, as I am closer to understanding how this all works. I’m hoping for more videos….Normally I mix my soil (not coco) and Grow Dots together in a large tub and fill my 3 gallon cloth pots. I’m guessing the system will allow soil, but if not, please educate me, and I will switch to Coco….but lastly, I’m now wondering how the occasional recharge feeding that I do when hand watering, fits into this system. Very pleased that Scotty and his growmies have created this space for all of of us.
you will do a once a week top watering of Recharge with these systems, and you can use Soil in them, but the coco wicks well and still allows air into the media.
just got my buckets today is there a way to use one bucket plus the reservoir?
yes, just use the elbow fitting for the other bucket on the res instead of the tee.
how much coco do the real grow buckets hold?
Man just finished my first real bucket grow and man wow. 18oz of 4 autos. I am getting g ready to throw 4 Screaming Blueberry x Cherry Paloma. Can’t wait.
Just setting up real buckets 2.0. Followed the video, and it shows to set the float valve at 5 ½” from centerline to bucket. This is not enough to hit the discharge hose. I lifted the float away from the bucket bottom and set at 5 ½” and now it hits the discharge hose, but the water level in the window is only ½” up from the bottom of the window. Here is my question: what level in the clear window should the water level be?
