Newbie here. In about my second week of flower.

I don’t have any lower lights and want the top buds as dense as possible. Is it too late to still be lightly defoliating them lower colas hiding far under the canopy? Ps I did a lot of lollipopping at the end of veg but they stretched more then I thought and some smaller colas didn’t stretch enough. Also how far up the stem do you snip the larf off?

It’s ok to remove lower unwanted growth for about the first 3 weeks or so.

I generally defoliate after three weeks in flower. Also take everything from the bottom third. Even try to clean up any suckers higher up. Trying to get the best buds all the plant energy you can. Besides, the plants will re-foliate in a few days. It’s what I do, experience will show you the way with your individual setup. Best of luck!
