New Here. Been growing LONG TIME. But new to lots of things. Like cococoir

I bought coco bricks. From Bliss..but know realize I should have bought buffered coco. I see how to buffer with calmag.

But can’t at the moment. So will Amazon some more that’s buffered. Should I add calcium to buffered bricks and let soak in? If yes advice on kind & how much?

If I’m using grow dots I shouldnt have to add anything except perlite, correct. ?? Thx for any help

Canna Coco is my recommendation, I use with Canna calmag. Both can be bought on Amazon. Perlite is fine, I use crushed lava. Some growers like to add promix. I also add worm castings, about 20% of my mix. Pre buffered, like canna, doesn’t need calmag Pre mixed. Just begin light dosing on your first water after they sprout. Your considerations for how much are going to be dependent on your water. I use RO, so my baseline is stripped of any nutrients. Tap water will be different.

    Buffering Coco Choir is easy.

You will need Two (2) Plastic Basketts or Bucketts. Drill Many small holes in the bottom of one of the bucketts.

Wide Deep Semi Flexible Basketts are Best.

And From Amazon, get a bag of Dolemite Lime.

    Bio2Grow brand works Awesome.

*Note: Bending over and lifting wet Covo sucks, mind your posture.

Take Two Coco bricks at a time!

Put the bricks in the buckett with holes, and place that bucket inside the other, and fill with cold clean water and let them soak for a few minutes, lift and allow it to strain out. Keep rinsing it until it is clean (probably alot of beach sand).

Once it runs clean (not necessarilly clear), drain it again then fill with cold water until the Coco is covered.

Then Add Two Tablespoons of Dolemite Lime for every 8 liters of Coco (1 brick usually = 8 liters of Coco)

Stirr that in Really well, then let it sit for 24 Hours.

Drain it off, Squeeze out remaining water and

    (((POOF)))

    It’s Done!

*Note: Dolemite Lime Is a source of Calcium and Magnesium, don’t need calmag. Also, Dolemite Lime will keep your ph in check!

Best of Skill to you dear🖤

Never add dolomite lime to coco. That is a huge mistake and will cause antagonisms.

Quality coco is not cut with cheap fillers like perlite.
